Exel Printing Machinery are proud to announce the completed install of a used, late model XL 105 10 colour press with Inpress control by our team at a typically ‘new’ print shop.

Our UK Sales Manager, Ian Bendy recently underwent negotiations with Gemini Print Group’s Managing Director, Steve Cropper on the purchase of a late model Heidelberg to replace his older generation machine of the same configuration. Steve has in the past bought new presses from the manufacturer but after receiving details of our machine, he was intrigued to hear of the level of service that Exel could offer with a late model press, including some of the latest technology and automation but with a considerable financial benefit. Steve also welcomed the intelligent thinking of our engineers who worked with restricted access and space to install the machine in the intended area at their print shop – an aspect the manufacturer said they could not fulfil if he had looked at buying new.

Exel carried out a full cleaning and painting process along with thorough checking of the machine prior to delivery at its new Home at Gemini Print, Shoreham-by-Sea. Gemini’s ’58 tonne baby’ as they refer to it was put into full commercial production in October and is already living up to expectations.

This project was one of the recent ongoing late model long perfectors that Exel have supplied and are currently installing. We have a niche in providing the full package when it comes to supplying quality machines with the latest technology, to include installation, demonstrator and warranty.
